Fairview Regional Medical Center is proud to tell you of some changes in our services to your family. In the second week of September, renovation begins, and that will soon change everything, but that isn’t all. Within months, your family will have more choices.

In the last few weeks, we’ve offered you a choice of either a male or female medical practitioner. And of course we also have both D.O. and M.D. physicians. We will soon add another D.O. to our medical staff, to give you even more choice. And we will continue to broaden your choices.

By February, Fairview will have the broadest family care choices of any community in our area. We will offer not just male and female practitioners and not just both D.O. and M.D., but also primary care physicians specializing in family medicine, internal medicine, preventive medicine, and alternative medicine (acupressure and acupuncture).

Internal medicine will be new for our community and will allow citizens with certain disease processes to be treated more conveniently here in Fairview . Preventive medicine is a rare specialty, not many communities – of any size – have this. It is of special interest for anyone wanting, or needing, to live a more healthy lifestyle. This will be especially valuable for our elderly citizens and should help them extend their healthy years. We’ve noticed that in Fairview , many citizens have begun using acupuncture and acupressure as a more natural addition to their family’s conventional healthcare.
